- Adivasi health with current focus on Adivasi communities & climate change, History of research on Sickle Cell Disease in southern Indian Adivasi communities, THETA (2017-2022) which examined tribal & nearby non-tribal health inequalities in sites in southern, central & northeast India. Some of this work contributes to Areas of work on south Indian Adivasi studies happening in Kaanu and features as case studies in work I do on Realist evaluation
- Primary health care interests are largely in Screening for cancers at Primary Health Care settings, Substance use disorders, Urban health
- wildlife conservation is a very broad area of work, but the fact that it has been quite exclusive of people and communities most affected by it is quite emblematic of a larger social exclusion; in this case, the focus is on Adivasi communities & climate change, FD management plan BRT and such
- birds and natural-history is a long-term interest with current interest being in developing insights from eBird
- statistics & visualisation in public health particularly on Learning R, stats & Epi for public health
- social inequalities in health with readings, reflections and resources on Caste and the Adivasi identity work happening in Kaanu
- Apart from this there is general tech fascination & notes on tech and society spread across AI hacks, Linux workstation notes which will also be deployed for amateur radio work that I do via VU2JWD and overlapping a bit with Learning R, stats & Epi for public health
