I wish sometimes there would be a better reason to believe what is being offered by the author but for the uncanny fit the narrative offers to the events unfolding...a clear and easy reading. Requires a fair knowledge of US current events, personalities and events. Overall a light and quick read. At some level provides a response to the patronising obeisances that some US politics tends to pay to its own democratic institutions and shows how fragile such social structures can really be despite centuries of “ossification”.
