[This article](https://journalofcontroversialideas.org/article/3/1/236) from the interestingly named _Journal of Controversial Ideas_ shared by SQ with me over WA had been filed for further reading [given my own views](https://gh.bmj.com/content/6/8/e006601) on the thick layer of privilege underlying notions of merit as they are in practice in our society at least. On scanning the article, it seems engagement-worthy even if not to be agreed with. Also the article's entry-point is on _doing science_ rather than science in practice.
