There is a bunch out there on Health Policy & Systems Research (HPSR). This page serves as a high level organising page/index for mulitple work-threads I am linked with on HPSR. There is also the [[History & evolution of HPSR]] effort which I began here and migrated to the English Wikipedia page where most of that content rests.
1. Splitting HPSR away from *health services research*, its sister from another mother. This was a bit unfortunate that the earlier version of the HPSR article, possibly due to its poor quality content was merged with health services research. Cleaved that out into its own recently and left an explanatory note on [its associated talk page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Health_policy_and_systems_research). The [new HPSR article](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_policy_and_systems_research) albeit still preliminary is looking much better and needs to be expanded in some sections.
2. Then there is these 2 long videos produced by NIHR for building capacity on HPSR. Worth a listen.

3. Being a growing field that has sought to challenge the ways and means of knowledge production in public health and indeed the nature of knowledge itself that is deemed valuable in global health (see for instance Seye Abimbola's [The uses of knowledge in global health](https://gh.bmj.com/content/6/4/e005802)), the idea of journals as the final home for HPSR knowledge has been a contested topic. And to muddle those waters further the issue of predatory journals makes it even problematic. There is a need to imagine better the kind of platforms needed for HPSR-ish knowledge for which a note is at [[Journals for health policy & systems research]]
